Here's a step by step guide on how and when to set up a Scavenger Hunt campaign.
Scavenger Hunt is a unique and highly engaging live activation that gets your fans out and visiting real life checkpoints for a chance to win. Tailor this to your brand or partnership and drive hype for an upcoming event or deploy anytime as a fun, incentive-based engagement to better connect with your fans.
Reward fans for checking in at one or multiple locations, and control the information you collect about them with custom registration forms.

Important Note: To run a Scavenger Hunt Campaign, you must have access to the Fan CRM, which is needed to run campaigns that require mandatory PII and authentication.
Configuration
Under the Configuration tab you can set the properties for how fans will interact with your campaign and upload your prize images
Content
This is where you will set your specific checkpoint locations on your Scavenger Hunt map for fans to follow.
1. To add a new location, click the blue +Add New Location button
2. Search for a location by populating an address which will automatically fill in the required coordinates
- Location Name: A name associated with the location that will help you & your participating fans uniquely identify the location
- Location Code: A code that is assigned to the location that fans will need to enter to redeem their prizes. This is field is optional - fans can use the QR Code associated with the location to redeem their prizes if you prefer that method. The QR Code is auto-generated after you add a location code
- Lat, Long: The latitude and longitude associated with the location. If the address is recognized by the system, the latitude and longitude are automatically generated. However, we encourage re-checking this to ensure that the correct coordinates have been set up
- Address: Enter the Address without a postal code . Then, to generate your Latitude & Longitude based on this address, click the "search" button next to the field. Once clicked, if any related entries are found in the system, a dropdown is displayed with the various options. Click on the appropriate option to generate the Latitude and Longitude. If the address is not found in the system, you will be prompted to find your specific latitude & longitude using Google Maps
3. Click save and your new location will appear on the map
4. You can also add associated events to your Scavenger Hunt to set specific availability windows for specific check-ins
- Event Name: The name of the event.
- Start and End Date & Time: The Date and Times associated with the event (the availability window)
