The following guide will walk you through how to set up your first Tunelink Campaign, when to use it and some best practices for setting up.
Tunelink helps you turn hype into data. It's your all-in-one pre-save campaign that automatically evolves into a smart, post-release landing page once your track drops.
Use it to:
- Drive pre-saves and streams
- Collect fan data and opt-ins
- Keep momentum rolling from singles to album releases
- Centralize all streaming and merch links post-release to drive auxiliary revenue moments
Tunelink Features
- Pre-song Presave: You can launch your pre save before you know your ISRC ID or UPC code. Just make sure to add them before you release your track.
- Waterfall Presave: It's become industry standard for label and artist teams to release albums in "waterfalls" - dropping a few tracks at a time before the album lands. With a Waterfal Album Presave, fans save once and will automatically get every new track associated with that album - even if they're released weeks apart.
- Presave functions: Save your album or track directly to each entrant’s Spotify/Apple library on release day in addition to adding them as a follower of your artist profile.
- Dynamic landing page: In addition to the pre-save functionality, you have the choice to enable a “song-link” landing page. This automatically transitions to a centralized place for fans to access your album or track once your track has been formally released. Here you can add Youtube videos, a prompt for where to listen, and even display merchandise!
- Data Collection: In addition to the Spotify/Apple authentication required, you can also collect email and SMS opt-ins, which is an effective way to bring more of your listening community in-house for direct communication.
When to use Tunelink?
Use Tunelink when you're
- Dropping a new single, EP or album and want to enrich your data collection while driving more streams
- Running a multi-single rollout leading to an album
- Linking out to merch, tour tickets or other fan actions post-release
Tradable Bits' fan ecosystem means every pre-save can connect to broader insights - like which fans later joined your fan community, bought merch, or purchased tickets.
Supported DSPs
Pre-save: Spotify + Apple Music
Song Link Page: Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, Napster, TikTok, Youtube, Amazon Music, or other custom links.
We're outlining some campaign-specific details below. Follow this guide for more info on General Setup and other campaign basics.
⚙️ How to configure a Tunelink campaign?
Tunelink campaign has two main parts:
1. Setup (general info + configuration)
2. Design (visuals + copy)
You'll find both in the sidebar. Follow it top-to-bottom. Each section builds upon the last.
Step 1: Configure your Presave
Under the Configuration tab, you'll see three sections:
- Waiting Room
For massive campaigns (20K+ entries expected within minutes). Leave this off unless you're expecting heavy traffic - it adds a short waiting queue to balance system load. - Pre-Save Page
This is the core of your campaign. - Song Links
A dynamic songlink page for when your album is out.
The diagram below shows each stage of a Tunelink campaign (fan view):
To set up a standard presave:
- Choose your release type - either an album or a track.
- Input your ISRC or UPC code.
Protip: Don't have these codes yet? You can launch without it - just make sure to add it before release day or your campaign will not work.
3. Add your Spotify and Apple Music URLs (we recommend using the artist profile link).
4. Customize any additional copy or visuals in the Design Tab.
Once done, fans can pre-save your track to their Spotify or Apple libraries and follow your artist profile automatically on release day.
How to set up a Waterfall Album Release
If you want to set up an Album presave, and know that singles will be shared ahead of the full album drop, use the Waterfall Presave feature:
- In Tunelink Configuration, select Presave Album as your release type.
- Toggle Waterfall Album Release on
- Enter the artist's Spotify ID - we'll continuously query it for new releases
- That's it. As new tracks roll out, Tunelink will automatically add them to fans' Spotify and Apple Music libraries
Step 2: Configure your Song Links Page
Once your song or album is out, Tunelink transforms your pre-save page into a dynamic song link page - a centralized destination for all DSPs and merch.
You can include links to:
- Spotify
- Apple Music
- Deezer
- Tidal
- Napster
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Amazon Music
- Custom links (for merch, tour tickets, etc)
To configure
- Toggle "Song Links Page" on.
- Click the “Query Song Links” button to automatically fill in the Spotify/Apple Music URLs (if you've entered your codes)
- Add any other DSPs or custom links manually. To do this, click the Add Link button
✅ Before you Publish
Run through this quick checklist:
- ISRC/UPC codes added (before release)
- Spotify + Apple URLs tested
- Waterfall toggle correct (if applicable)
- Dynamic Song Link page enabled (optional but recommended)
- Design and copy double-checked
When everything looks good, you're good to share out your links to publish.
And with that, you've launched a Tunelink 🎉
Every fan that presaves = one step closer to owning your audience data, boosting streams , and converting casual listeners into real fans.
Before publishing your campaign, be sure to review our Campaign Publishing Checklist for a smooth launch.
