# Getting started with Auto Emails
## This quick guide will give you an overview of when and how to set up Auto Emails.
Auto emails are a simple transactional email that you can set up in Tradable Bits that allows you to select an activity trigger, which will automatically send emails to the fans who carry out this activity. It’s a "set it and forget it" tool intended to streamline your workflow and allow you to build templated processes for quick transactional emails.
**Every Tradable Bits subscription includes up to 100K email sends "out-of-the-box". Auto emails are one of two "out-of-the-box" transactional campaign options that you can create in Tradable Bits using our drag-and-drop email editor. Head to **Messaging\> Email Campaigns** to begin.
1. Click the **New Campaign** button at the top right of the page
2\. Select **Auto Campaign** from the menu
3\. Define your rules of interaction by creating a **rule name** and the **group** to which this will apply
4\. Select your **trigger type** and the subsequent **activity** that will trigger this rule
**Note:** Choose carefully, as trigger types and activity **cannot** be changed later
5\. Build the rest of your email campaign from **Settings**:
- Set your **From Name** and **From Email**
- Set your **Reply Email**
- **Choose your audience:** You will be prompted to choose a **Filter** or **Snapshot** in a drop-down menu. The menu will display ALL of your saved filters or snapshots to choose from. Select your preferred audience.
- Input your **Subject Line:** This is the subject line that your fans will see in their email inbox.
- Ensure your **Start Date** and **Expiration Dates** are correct
- Set the **Timezone**
- Optionally, you can set a **Delay** of however many days you wish to wait after the trigger before sending the email
Then, choose **Email Editor** from the left menu to customize your email and add your content:
- Drag and drop the elements you wish to include in your email from the **Content** tab at the top right.
- **Dynamic Personalization:** Add personalized fan details directly into any text element (headings, paragraphs, etc.):
- Simply type { while editing text to open a prompt with **First Name** and **Last Name** options.
- Selecting an option will automatically insert merge variables (e.g., \[First\_Name\]) that dynamically populate with the recipient's CRM data upon sending.
- Click on the Content item you've dragged onto the page to edit it directly.
- Use one of the pre-created block formatting options from the **Block** tab.
- Choose your colours, fonts, accessibility settings, and design from the **Body** tab.
Select the **Image** icon to choose from a wide variety of stock images or create one of your own using the AI tool.
- To edit the image after adding it to the email body, click it to replace it with a different stock image or upload your own.
6\. Hit **Save**
7\. Click into the **Auto Campaigns** tab to find your new campaign. Here, you can delete, clone, edit, pause, or abort your campaign.
That's it— you're all set with auto emails!
