This guide outlines important information to know before you launch an engagement campaign for children/kids under the age of 13 to participate in.
Tradable Bits adheres to a number of global security protocols, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule). As part of this, we don't create a fan profile, or store the data of minors under the age of 13. There isn't any option for this policy to be altered as it applies to our software across all regions in which we operate.
We appreciate the desire to allow fans of all ages to engage with your competitions and campaigns and can certainly help design workarounds that allow participation. Below are some recommended workarounds:
1. You can turn PII collection off by selecting the 'Disable PII Collection' toggle in the General Setup section of your Campaign.
If you require data collection to occur, a common way is to have the parent/guardian's name and email captured through the primary fields (creating the fan profile), with the Child's name and other details captured through custom field(s). These details are then kept on the parent/guardian's profile, but will be done so with knowledge and consent (which must be captured in the same process).
