How to Assign an Idol Affinity Retroactively
Here's a quick guide on how to retroactively tag idols to a campaign.
You can tag fans who enter a campaign with a specific "Idol Affinity." The easiest method is to set this up before your campaign launches, but you can also assign it retroactively if you forgot.
How to Assign Idol Affinity Retroactively
-
Navigate to your campaign's Setup tab.
-
Go to Reporting > Results.
-
Scroll down to Export Campaign Data and download your fan data as a CSV file.
-
Open the exported CSV file in a spreadsheet program (like Excel or Google Sheets).
-
Add a new column. The column header must be titled exactly:
artist_name -
In this new
artist_namecolumn, enter the name of the Idol you want to assign. -
Copy that Idol's name down the entire column so it's applied to every fan (row).
-
Save the modified CSV file.
-
Navigate to the main Fan CRM section.
-
Select Import (on some pages, you may need to scroll to the bottom and click Import from .csv).
-
Upload your modified CSV file.
-
When prompted to map your fields, make sure your
artist_namecolumn is matched to the system's Artist Name field. -
Follow the prompts to complete the import.
Now all the fans from your file will now be updated and tagged with the correct Idol Affinity in the Fan CRM.
