# How do I update my Legal Language Section?
## This guide provides step-by-step instructions for managing and styling campaign legal language
Keeping your legal language up to date is essential for protecting your organization, upholding regulatory compliance, and building trust with your fans. Clear, accurate terms and privacy policies not only cover your legal bases, but they also communicate your data practices, giving participants confidence as they interact with your brand.
The Legal Language section of your campaign consists of the **Terms of Use**, **Privacy Policy**, and **Official Rules** listed at the bottom of your campaign page.
To update the Legal Language of your campaign, navigate to **Setup \> General Setup \> Legal Setup.** From here you can customize your Legal Language for each section using a few different options:
- **Populate from Defaults:** By clicking this button, your **Terms of Use,** **Privacy Policy** and **Official Rules** will auto-populate using your organization’s default language defined in your Business Settings.
- **Use Custom URL:** Select this toggle to override the text input and link to an external page.
- **Text Editor:** Use the text editor to manually enter and style the Legal Language. Use the toolbar to adjust font sizes and colours, as well as edit the HTML directly. Previous versions are saved and listed in the dropdown on the top right corner.
When copy/pasting text or HTML directly from external platforms (such as Word, Google Docs, or web pages) into the editor, please check to ensure all formatting appears correctly as hidden code or source styling can distort layouts, create inconsistent typography, or alter line spacing.
To adjust the background colour of the Legal section, navigate to **Design \> Theme Settings \> Content Background** and edit the **Card Background Colour**
