Here's a quick overview of custom rules and settings for moderating the content on your UGC display.
UGC Streams can pull in hundreds or even thousands of posts which is why we have custom Rules and moderation Settings you you can ensure that you are only displaying your most relevant posts.
Before you start making any new rules for your UGC stream, we recommend checking out the below guide to get familiar with the UGC section, if you haven't already:
Click on your desired UGC stream and navigate to Setup>Settings to begin
1. Settings
Moderation Settings: select your desired Trust settings and determine if you want to manually or automatically approve content
Filter Profanity: toggling this on will automatically filter out thousands of profane words so they do not show up on your UGC display
2. Rules
You can also create custom rules to remove, approve or fully delete posts
- Remove: posts/images will still in in your UGC Content section but will not be currently displayed on your stream
- Approve: posts/images will be displayed on your stream
- Delete: permanently delete posts/images from your Content section
Rules that Remove:
Select specific parameters that will automatically remove a post from your display if it does or does not include defined filter criteria.
For example, if you only want to display posts that are from a specific location you can set rules that will reject any post not from that location:
Rules that Approve:
Select specific parameters that will automatically approve a post from your display if it does or does not include defined filter criteria.
For example, if you want to automatically approve posts that have your desired hashtags, you can configure that here:
Rules that Delete:
Select specific parameters that will automatically delete a post from your content section and will no longer be available for approval or use on display.
For example, if you use the same in-game stream to engage fans in your venue on a weekly basis and want to clear batches of images so it is fresh for your next event, you can set rules that will delete posts that are not within a desired date range:
You can get even more specific with your rules by adding additional conditions by clicking the +And button underneath your new rule. Post will then need to satisfy both conditions to be approved, removed or deleted
