Get your fans to come to you
THE WHAT
With Incoming SMS, have fans send you a text message to receive access to a promotional offer, a chance to enter a contest or to receive exclusive content.
THE WHY
Incoming SMS allows you to turn traditional communication on its head - instead of lighting up your fans’ inboxes, let your fans come to you. It’s an easy way to wean out your most motivated fans, and to build exclusivity (i.e. ‘the first 1000 fans that reply will get an early release”).
THE HOW
Note: To use this feature, you are required to have a Twilio account. Contact your Customer Success Manager to connect your account to the platform, or to discuss other options.
To get started, head to the Messaging section of the Manage Centre and click SMS Campaigns.
Click on Incoming SMS on the left side of your screen.
Step 1: Click “+ New Phone Number”
Step 2: Input your “Reply-To” Phone Number
Step 3: Name your Campaign
Step 4: Input the “special” URL that fans will gain access to once they text your number (it could be a specific engagement campaign, a promotion or an exclusive access drop)
Step 5: Fill out your auto-reply message. For example: “You wanted it, you get it. Click the URL below for the chance to win 4 VIP tickets to our next show”
Step 6: Click Save
