This guide will review how our system has built-in bot protection and how you can enable spam protection on your engagement campaigns
We limit entries based on cookies and IP address (ie- if someone enters 60 activities in a 20min time frame it prevents them from being able to submit any further). We also prevent users from entering with the same first name, last name and different email up to a max of 10 entries.
We’ve also added a ‘enable spam protection' toggle to the Authentication section of a campaign which will allow you to not only limit entries by email, but also by Session. If you toggle this on, it will limit the user to only enter the campaign to the number of times you’ve set (as most often times bots will enter with different email addresses from the same IP address).
We also recommend Limiting the Fan Entries to a specific amount ie- Daily limit or Lifetime Limit based on what you are covered for in your Terms and Conditions.
