How to Manage Events in the Data Library
Here's a quick guide on how to effectively use the Event Data Library tool in Sales section.
Use this tool to clean up duplicate, missing, or reused event details, map ticket purchases to the correct event profiles, and ensure accurate reporting across your purchasing data.
Tip: Maintain your event records regularly so that ticket sales, both past and present, correctly link to the right venues, artists, and seasons. Key areas of the TBits platform rely on clean event_key, venue_name, and artist_name fields to deliver accurate fan insights and performance reporting.
How to Create a New Event:
- Click "+ New Event" on the top LHS.
- Fill in the following details:
-
- Network: The ticketing, commerce, or data integration platform where the event originates (e.g., Ticketmaster, Ticketek, or Eventbrite).
- Event Key: Unique identier that if not provided, the Tradable Bits system will randomly generate a key.
- Customer DSN: The data source name associated with the account.
-
Event Type: General event type filter.
- Performance: Provide the pre-configured performance associated with this event.
-
Event Name: Input relevant event title
-
- Event Date: Date of the event.
- Venue: Location associated with the event.
- Season Name: Time period that is associated with the event (eg, AFL 2027 Pre-Season).
- Season Key: Specific season objective that is associated with the event (eg, Renewal).
- Artist: Add pre-configured idol if relevant (eg, for Concerts or Comedy Shows).
Note on Matching Logic & Historical Data:
- The platform relies on the event_key to match tickets and purchases to events:
- If the event_key is found, values for event name, event date, venue name, and artist name will populate automatically.
- If the event_key is left blank, a combination of event_date and event_name will be used to match the venue_name and artist_name.
- By default, all future sales will apply the new event details. Existing historical sales won't be impacted unless you check the override box below.
3. Click "Save"
Filtering Events

- Bulk Actions: Select specific events to bulk edit or delete.
