How do I connect a UGC Contest to a UGC Display?

Here's a quick step by step guide on getting your UGC Contest campaign submissions onto your UGC display at your live event.

Connect a UGC Contest engagement campaign directly to a UGC feed to automatically populate the posts that your fans submit through a simple QR code to engage with your fans on the big screen at your event! 

 

If you haven't spent too much time with UGC yet, we recommend that you get familiar with the UGC section of the Tradable Bits platform by reading this quick guide before we begin:

Getting Started with UGC

Historically, UGC displays were populated by fan content using a specific hashtag or @mention that would pull only those images into the feed. Fan behaviours and privacy policies have changed in recent years leading to more private social media accounts and a lower use of hashtags usage. People still love to see themselves on the big screen, but now it's about a direct channel to share photos with you that doesn't rely on them using their own personal social media. 

1. Set up your UGC stream

• Navigate to the UGC section in the bottom left of your Manage Centre and click +New

Refer again to Getting Started with UGC to complete stream setup (ie- connecting your social accounts if you wish to include social media hashtags and content into this stream as well)

2. Set up your UGC Contest campaign 

• Navigate to Campaigns> +New Campaign and select UGC Contest to begin
• Follow this setup guide here
• Note: To connect your UGC Contest, you must select the desired stream under Setup>Configuration
• Select your Content Options preferences with the toggles below

Once you have connected your stream, the UGC Contest submissions will automatically populate on the stream according to the Trust moderation settings that you set up in your stream

We recommend downloading your QR Code from the Publish tab of your UGC  Contest Campaign and use it make your own header with a CTA . (You'll need this image for Step 3). 

3. (Optional) Setup your UGC Display 

Now it's time to setup your UGC Screen Display.  Navigate back to your UGC Stream in the UGC section of the platform. There are 15+ Display options in UGC Displays> +New Display. (We recommend using the Centre Branded Display where you can upload your own image into the centre of this display type. 

4. Moderate Content for your Display 

Now that you've started collecting UGC Content, you will need to moderate this in the Content tab of your UGC Stream. If you prefer to have automatic approvals, you will need to set up this 'Rule' in the 'Setup' > 'Rules' > Rules that approve (more info here in this help guide).
