This quick guide will walk you through how to connect your Customer.io account to pass data from your Tradable Bits account.
By syncing your accounts, you're able to seamlessly push the fan data and contacts collected through Tradable Bits, directly to your existing Customer.io account to streamline your email marketing initiatives.
Before you begin, ensure that you have access to both your Tradable Bits and your Customer.io accounts.
Set Up Steps:
We'll start on the Customer.io side and then return to Tradable Bits to complete the set up!
Customer.io Side:
1. Begin by logging in to your Customer.io account
2. Navigate to Data & Integrations>Integrations from the left side menu and select Customer.io API
3. Create and name your API Connection
Note down the Site ID and the API Key (this will be your Tracking API Key on the Tradable Bits side)
4. Click the Manage API Credentials button
5. Navigate to the API Keys tab
6. Create an App API Key and give it an identifiable name
Note down your App API Key and save it in a secure place. You will NOT be able to see this key again and you will need it to complete the set up on the Tradable Bits side later.
7. Once you have securely noted down your key, click Exit Settings in the top left corner of the page and return to the original menu
8. Navigate to Segments and select the segment that you want to push your Tradable Bits fans to
If you need to create a new segment, click the Create Segment button in the top right corner, choose your segment type, give it a name and click create. Otherwise, proceed to set up on the Tradable Bits side
Tradable Bits Side:
1. Begin my logging in to your Tradable Bits account and clicking on your account name in the top right corner
2. Click on Integrations from the account dropdown
3. On the left side menu, select Outgoing Integrations and click the +New button at the top of the page
4. Select Customer.io from the dropdown menu
5. Give your integration a name and input the Tracking API Key and Site ID that you saved from step 3 on the Customer. io side and the App API Key from step 6
6. Click into the Manage Sources tab to select your source type and value. Click add
7. Test your integration to ensure proper connection
Note: Regardless of the segment type that is attached to Tradable Bits (manual or data driven), all fans will be pushed to Customer.io. Fans that meet the criteria of a specific segment will be added to that segment.
