Here's a quick guide to walk you through setting up a strong bracket engagement campaign.
Bracket Campaign
Brackets were popularized in NCAA Basketball, and have spread across the sports, music and entertainment worlds as a way to get fans involved in a fun, interactive vote. The "Bracket" Campaign is a great way to engage your fans!
Where to find "Bracket"
Head to your Campaigns Dashboard and click New Campaign at the top right. The "Bracket" Campaign lives under "Voting/Polling." Click on the campaign or type it into the search bar to get started.
Setup
The "Setup" section is where the general functionality of the campaign is configured, as well as the content for the campaign.
General Setup
This section is where you can set your campaign name, start and end time, authentication gates, entry form fields, and legal setup. Be sure to check out the design guidelines to ensure that your campaign’s appearance is the best experience on mobile and desktop.
Pro Tip: You can get creative with custom fields and ask for strategic data outside of email and name. The quality of your affinity data improves as you learn more about your fans.
Configuration
In this section, you are able to set whether the participant's selected bracket winner is displayed below the bracket and sharable. This is done using a toggle switch.
Content
In the "Content" section, you are able to configure your bracket size and settings. First, select if you would like a Standard or a Template bracket set up. Standard bracket is likely the format that you are already familiar with-a given number of teams that meet up for a match with winners moving on to the next round until a winner is crowned. Template is modelled after real tournament styles from different global leagues. For more information on the Bracket styles, check out our full breakdown here.
Bracket Settings
In "Bracket Settings", once your bracket is generated, you are able to toggle incremental voting (one round at a time) on/off, as well as set the progression of bracket rounds between manual or automatic. Manual round progression requires somebody within your organization to select a winner before the next round unlocks, whereas automatic progression selects the winner at the end of the alotted time period, based on votes.
Pro-Tip: It is recommended to Toggle "Incremental Voting" ON and to set "Round Progression" to AUTOMATIC
Bracket Details
In the "Bracket Details" subsection under Content, images can be added to the bracket to build your teams. We recommended an image size of 720 x 630 px.
Share Settings
Control what image and message display when people share your campaign on socials (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
Reporting
Head to the Reporting section to view overall stats on your campaign and the results by each fan that entered, all updated in real time as fans enter your campaign.
Stats
Use this section to keep track of entries, views, opt-ins and the number of new fans you are gaining access to. You can also see the top locations and highest traffic days over the course of your campaign.
Results
The "Results" section offers more in depth participant data. At any point in the campaign, you can also export your campaign data in a CSV file for visibility to your larger team. If your campaign is designed to have a winner, that can be auto-selected in this section as well.
Design
Head to Theme Settings under the Design tab, to edit the overall look of the campaign. This is where you can adjust things like the button colours or upload a background to make this campaign true to your brand and appeal to your fans.
Background Image
This is where you set the captivating background image for your page. It is the image that will show behind your headers, text descriptions, and bracket. Set it to “cover” so that it will cover your entire page.
Pro-Tip: Setting your "Background Image Attach" to "Fixed" will allow "Campaign Content" to scroll over a fixed image. Setting the "Background Image Attach" to "Scroll" will make the "Background Image" scroll with "Campaign Content."
Background Color
If you do not choose an image, this is the colour that will show in the background.
Primary Button Color
This is the colour of your buttons.
Custom CSS/JS
This is where you are able to add any custom CSS or JavaScript to edit anything that may not be readily customizable in the campaign template.
Localize Language
Customize any text that will be displayed across the campaign here to sound more like your brand's tone of voice and less like Tradable Bits' default. You can also add additional languages here if you know that your fan base is multilingual.
Pro-Tip: Common use cases for this are American businesses changing "Postal Code" to "Zip Code", or personalizing opt-in fields.
Move through all five campaign pages and add the above design elements to each page to fully customize this campaign.
