How do I run a Meta Ads comparison report?

This quick guide will walk you through effectively using the Comparison tool to get more out of your Meta stats.

Stats are great, comparing stats is even better. The Comparison Tool within Meta Ads Reporting helps you do just that.

Accessing Ads Analytics

To access Ads Analytics, follow the steps outlined below.

1) Click on the Meta Ad Account that you would like to analyze from the Ads Planner section, in Tradable Bits' Manage Center.

2) Expand the "Reporting" option from the menu on the left.

3) Click on "Compare".

4) Insert the date ranges and campaigns that you want to compare and hit "Compare".

Understanding The Stats

By default, the page compares the performance of all your campaigns in the last week against all the campaigns from the week before last. In case you would like to choose alternate periods or a specific campaign, enter the same in the filter section provided at the top of the page and click "Compare".

The stats presented are:-

  • Spend: The media spend made in each respective comparison window.

  • Sales: The sales value that was attributed to the campaigns run in each respective comparison window.

  • Sales Count: The number of sales that were attributed to the campaigns run in each respective comparison window.

  • Impressions: Impressions garnered by the ads in each respective comparison window.

  • Reach: Number of people reached by the ads in each respective comparison window.

  • Frequency: The average number of times that ads were displayed to unique users in each respective comparison window.

  • CPM: The average CPM across all ads in each respective comparison window.

  • CPA: The average CPA across all ads in each respective comparison window.

  • ROI: The average ROI across all ads in each respective comparison window.

  • Results Table: Shows the stats that were displayed above as different graphs in a single table, along with a percentage change in metrics between each period.

  • Age Breakdown: A breakdown of the age ranges of the fans that were either targeted ("Spend" view) or that converted ("Conversion" view). To change the view, simply click on "Spend" or "Conversion" at the top of the modal.

  • Region Breakdown: A breakdown of the locations of the fans that were either targeted ("Spend" view) or that converted ("Conversion" view). To change the view, simply click on "Spend" or "Conversion" at the top of the modal.
