How do I create a Landing Tracker?

This article outlines how to create a Landing Tracker in your Fan CRM

Track your fans' entire sales journey with the Tradable Bits Tracker. Trackers record every step your fan takes from when they see your ad to purchasing tickets or merchandise on your website. A Landing Tracker can be used as a tracker for any URL that links fans back to your webpage.

If you are running Facebook Ads on Tradable Bits, a Landing Tracker will automatically be generated. Although other platforms can already track this for you, doing so through Tradable Bits will link the tracker back to specific Fan CRM profiles. Knowing which fans have visited specific pages will help you better target fans for social ads.

Follow these steps to create a new Landing Tracker:

1) On Manage Centre, under the "Know Your Fans" vertical, scroll to the "Trackers" section,

2) Click on "Landing"

3) Click the "Create New" button - If you are creating the Landing Tracker for an ad that is not being run on Tradable Bits, type in the ad creative name as the Landing Tracker name. If the Landing Tracker is not being used for an ad, name the Landing Tracker as the post name you are using it for or the campaign name.

2) Enter the Target URL - This is the URL for where you want the fan to land.

3) Pick a Source Network - If you are sharing identical content on multiple social channels, you can create individual trackers for each network. The source network will tell you which social network that Landing Tracker was used on.

4) Create a Group Name - The group name will help you organize your Landing Trackers and group them together. By doing this you will be able to compare the Landing Tracker stats for multiple networks in one area.

5) Create a Tracker Key - This is how you can customize the tail end of your Landing Tracker. So if it's for a contest you can add the word 'contest' as the tracker key and that will be the end of the Landing Tracker URL that you create.

6) Virtual Domain - If you have set up a Virtual Domain and had it enabled in your TBits account you can select it from the dropdown menu here to fully brand your tracker URL.

7) Click "Save"

Your new tracker will display in the list. Copy and paste the shortlink URL to use in your marketing communication.
