Getting Started with Spotify Ads.

Here's a quick guide to walk you through how to easily set up and effectively use Spotify Ads.

The Spotify Ads Planner helps you launch audio ads to be shown to Spotify Free users during ad breaks between songs. Spotify Ads Planner helps you launch your ads from within the Tradable Bits platform, instead of creating the same natively in the Spotify Ad Studio, thus saving you more time.

The How

When you arrive at the Manage Centre of Tradable Bits, you’ll find the Spotify Ads Tools on the right side of the UI in the ‘Market Smarter’ section under Ads Planner.

Adding an Account

To add a new Meta Ad Account, follow the steps outlined below.

1) In Tradable Bits' "Manage Center", click on the "+ Add Account" button next to Spotify Ads.

4) Click "Grant Permissions" on the page that pops up and approve the necessary permissions.

5) Once done, choose the Ad Account and the Advertiser from the respective dropdowns and click "Add Account".

Creating a New Campaign

1) Choose "Spotify Ads Planner" from the menu on the left.

2) Click "New Campaign", which will open the following modal.

3) Enter the following details in the Modal.

  • Campaign Name: A name for the campaign that would help you identify it once it has been configured.
  • Objective: The goal of the campaign you are setting up.

4) Click "Save" once done.

5) Once the campaign has been created, click "New Ad Set" against the respective campaign to create an ad set.

6) Enter the following details in the modal.

  • Ad Set Name: A name for the ad set that would help you identify it once it has been configured.
  • Run Dates: The run date of the campaign. If you enter an alternate timezone, then the dates are converted from the entered timezone into your account's primary timezone for ease of reporting.
  • Media Budget, Opt Fee & Total Budget: Total Budget refers to the total budget spent on the campaign which includes the actual Ad Spend on Spotify as well as the Opt Fee charged by Tradable Bits on the Ad Spend. The Opt Fee is automatically calculated based on the amount you enter in either Daily Ad Spend or Total Budget. Enter either Daily Ad Spend or Total Budget based on your budgeting structure, and the other two fields will be auto-populated.
  • CPM Bid: Your CPM bid is how much you’re willing to pay for a set of 1,000 impressions.
  • Fan Base: Choose a list of Idols/Artists whose fans you would like to target.
  • Genre: Fans of the genres that you've chosen are targeted.
  • Playlist Category: In case you want to target fans during a particular activity, playlist category might be a great way to segment fan activity and target specific playlist types.
  • Age Range/Gender/Regions: Demographic information to use for fan targeting.
  • Platform: Choose whether you want to target only Desktop/iOS/Android users.
  • Optimize for Target Artist: If you would like to run ads to increase streams for a particular artist, then enter that artist here. If filled, ads are optimized in such a way that streams for this artist are increased.
  • Frequency: The maximum number of times you would like the ad to be served to a single user.
  • Creatives: The creatives that you would like the Ad to utilize.

7) Click Save once done.

8) Push the Ad Set and Campaign to "Active" once you're ready for them to be delivered.
