Getting Started with Ad Rules

Here's a quick breakdown on Ad Rules and how to set them up.

Receive custom notifications to help you stay on top of your Ads Performance.

The What: Ad Rules are custom thresholds that can be configured to flag ads when they exhibit certain behaviours, such as CPA being greater than a particular value or the lifetime budget being less than a value, etc.

The How

In order to set up Ad Rules, follow the steps outlined below.

1) Click on the Meta Ad Account that you would like to create the Ad Rules under from the Ads Planner section, in Tradable Bits' Manage Center

 

2) Click "Ad Rules" under Ad Creation from the menu on the left

3) Click "New Rule"

4) Set the following fields:

  • Type: Choose the metric that you would like to track.
  • Condition: The comparison operator to use when comparing the actual value of the Metric/Type against the desired value.
  • Value: The value to use against the comparison of the metric's performance.
  • Action: Log provides a notification on the Ad Rules page when an Ad Set/Ad displays the rule configured.

5) Click Save Rule once done.

Once you've established your rules, the Rules that have been configured are displayed on the Ad Rules page as shown below.

 

 

In order to edit a previously configured Ad Rule, click on the pencil icon next to the corresponding rule and edit the necessary fields. You can also delete an Ad Rule by clicking on the pencil icon and clicking "Delete".

Any Ad Sets or Ads that exhibit the behaviours outlined by the rules are displayed on the Ad Rules page when they do.
