Here's a quick explainer on how fan user names are generated and displayed on Leaderboards from Engagement Campaigns.
Several Tradable Bits campaigns feature a public-facing leaderboard where fans can see their standings among other fans that have participated in the same campaign.
Fan usernames are displayed on the public leaderboard although fans do not create their username themselves. Usernames are generated by the name on the fan profile using their first name and last initial.
If two fans have the same initials, they will be given a number sequence to differentiate them. For example, John Smith and John Smithe would publicly display on the leaderboard as john_s1 and john_s2.
Public facing usernames are displayed this way to maintain fans' privacy while still remaining distinguishable.
To change fan usernames, the name in the actual fan profile would have to be changed as it is automatic mapping and we currently do not support unique display name creation at the campaign level.
This is also to guard against profanities or other submissions that would violate brand or community guidelines.
