How do I configure my Meta Pixel?

The following guide will walk you through the various different ways you can set up your Meta Pixel on your website.

Before we start to configure your Meta/Facebook pixel, we recommend downloading Google Chrome's Meta Pixel Helper extension; this extension will help you troubleshoot your pixel once you've installed it on your website.

How to Configure your Meta Pixel

  1. Visit business.facebook.com

  2. From the menu, select “Events Manager”

  3. Click on “Add New Data Source”, then click “Facebook Pixel”

  4. Give your Pixel a name and enter the URL of your website, click “Next”

  5. Now, to install the pixel onto your website Facebook will give you 3 options:

Option 1: Manually add the pixel's code to your website:

    1. From “Events Manager”, click on “Data Sources” on the left
    2. Under the name of your Pixel, you will see a 16 digit “Pixel ID”, take note of this number.
    3. Navigate to where you can edit the header code of your website
    4. In-between the and tags paste the following pixel code, with your 16 digit Pixel ID in place of 'YOUR-PIXEL-ID-HERE':

Option 2: Use one of Meta's partner integrations:

To see if your web hosting platform is a Meta partner, click here.
